Tragedy challenges three generations of a Mennonite family.
Three Mennonite brothers in their 60's finally confront the death of their mother, Margaret, tragically taken from them in their very early childhood. Margaret's death shook the faith of her good Mennonite husband to the core, and forever shrouded the lives of the three young boys she left behind. Margaret's story, unearthed by Robert Boschman, her grandson, is told in a mixture of poetic imagery and family history, Robert's gentle passion prying open a box in which his grandfather had meticulously gathered his beloved wife's effects; shining light on a long buried tale, allowing Margaret's sons-these brothers: Robert's father, Robert's uncles-to finally fully grieve her loss, and bring her home to their hearts again.and to grieve, as well, the pristine and childlike loss of faith in a good and all-powerful God.
